Start with the goods, not the box
A box has one job: hold the goods without a lot of empty space, and without crushing them. If the carton is much larger than the contents, the goods move and you need more void fill. If it is too tight, corners and lids press on whatever is inside. Measure the goods, then look for a box that is close to that size rather than a box that merely looks strong.
Wholesale Packaging has supplied boxes and other packaging in the UK since 1954. The boxes category groups the ranges so you can browse by the kind of pack, instead of searching the whole shop for a size.
Everyday boxes, postal boxes and special jobs
Single wall boxes are the everyday range: the category describes them as strong, affordable and versatile. Double wall boxes are the stronger board, listed for heavy, valuable or fragile goods, and that range is manufactured in the UK. If you are posting rather than palletising, the Royal Mail small parcel and large letter ranges, and the white postal boxes, sit alongside the general box sizes.
Some packs are a particular shape. Book wraps and M-envelope boxes are flat postal wraps. Archive boxes have handles for storage. Wardrobe boxes and removal kits are for a move. Crash lock boxes are the ecommerce range, with a base that opens into shape and a peel-and-seal strip. Amazon FBA and Amazon Shipping boxes are made to the maximum sizes published on that category.
What else goes in the pack
The box is only the outer wall. Empty space still needs void fill, fragile faces need bubble wrap or another protection product, and the lid needs tape. A poly mailer can replace the box when the goods are soft and do not need rigid walls. Those ranges are separate categories, so you can add them to the same order as the cartons.
If you already know a size or a style, use search from the header. If you do not, open Boxes and work through the ranges. Orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the same day. UK delivery is free on orders over £50 ex VAT, and stocked items can be returned within 14 days of purchase.
Trade orders
A regular dispatch desk usually wants the same sizes every week. TradePro is the trade account: it starts at 5% off and goes up to 10% when you spend over £1,000 a month. Membership is for trade businesses, and it adds priority support, BACS as well as card and PayPal, and trade-only offers.
You can still check out without an account. Card, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay are on the payment page. The delivery page covers the 3pm cutoff and the free UK delivery threshold.
