Foam is a soft layer
Jiffy foam rolls are described as a lightweight cushion for packaging, storage and transit. The category names glassware, crockery, cutlery and electronic items as the sort of goods they suit. The rolls we stock are Jiffy, and the category says they are CFC free.
Foam wrap is not bubble wrap. Bubble is a film with air pockets. Foam is a continuous soft sheet. Use foam when the surface needs a layer against it, rather than a pocket of air at a few points.
Corners take the damage
The edge and corner range lists cardboard edge guards, Jiffy foam edge guards, Jiffy foam corner protectors and polystyrene corner protectors. They are for the edges of goods and of pallets, where a knock lands first.
A foam sheet around a picture still leaves the corners exposed if nothing sits over them. An edge guard is the extra piece. Polystyrene corners are the rigid version. Foam corners are the soft version.
Furniture and glass
The furniture protection range is listed beside the foam rolls. It covers Jiffy furnisoft and furniguard bubble laminate, removal transit blankets and polythene furniture covers. That is the range for a move. Foam wrap is the sheet for glass, crockery and similar goods.
If the goods also need a void filled, that is a different product: loose fill or paper. Foam wrap covers a surface. It does not take up an empty corner of a box by itself.
